Newborn Wellness

Your first weeks at home

A calm, practical guide to newborn care, wellness and bonding through the fourth trimester.

01

Newborn care basics

Babies in the first 6 weeks need warmth, frequent feeds and lots of skin-to-skin. Keep the world a little quieter and a little dimmer — they're still adjusting.

02

Feeding cues

Watch for early hunger cues: rooting, hands to mouth, smacking lips. Crying is a late cue.

  • Feed on demand, 8–12 times in 24h
  • 6+ wet diapers a day after day 5
  • Steady weight gain by week 2
03

Bonding & wellness

Eye contact, gentle talking and skin-to-skin are powerful for both you and your baby. Bonding is built in small, repeated moments.

04

When to call a doctor

Fever (≥38°C) under 3 months, persistent lethargy, refusing feeds, or a yellow tone deepening after week one — always reach out.
