Lifts head during tummy time, follows objects with eyes, smiles socially around 6–8 weeks and begins cooing.

4–6 months
Rolls both ways, brings hands to midline, sits with support, laughs and explores everything mouth-first.

7–9 months
Sits independently, begins crawling or scooting, responds to name, babbles 'mama' and 'dada' (without meaning yet).

10–12 months
Pulls to stand, cruises along furniture, may take first steps. Waves, claps, and uses 1–2 meaningful words.
